Anamarija Fofonjka

Anamarija Fofonjka is a Senior Research and Development Engineer at Visage Technologies since March 2021 and a Mentor at DeepLearning.AI since April 2021. Previously, Fofonjka worked as a Software Development Engineer at COMSOL, Inc. from May 2019 to January 2021, focusing on R&D and high-performance computing with expertise in C++ and Java for Multiphysics FEM simulations. Fofonjka obtained an Interdisciplinary PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Geneva between 2015 and 2019, during which time involvement included software development for computer vision, image analysis, object detection, and 3D reconstruction. Teaching assistance was provided for practical courses on biological complexity and diversity. Fofonjka's earlier experience includes internships at Ericsson Nikola Tesla, working on JavaScript and Node.js projects, as well as a machine learning project in the mobile network domain. Educational background also includes a Master's Degree and Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Zagreb, completed in 2014 and 2012, respectively.
