Akif Tarique

Akif Tarique has a diverse range of work experience. Akif currently holds the position of Global Head of Insurance Practice at Visionet Systems Inc. Akif previously worked as a Transformation Advisory at Grant Thornton LLP (US). Prior to that, Akif founded and worked as a Coach at Elevate Business Coaching, where they focused on executive coaching, leadership development, and team coaching. Before entering the coaching field, Akif held various roles at MetLife, including Senior Financial Executive, Vice President of Investment Finance, Assistant Vice President in Projection Modelling/Budget: Investment Finance, Director of Finance and Operations, and Manager at MetLife Securities. Akif also began their career as a Business Advisor at Ernst & Young, where they gained experience in audit and tax consulting.

Akif Tarique received a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Accounting from Rutgers University in 1996. In 2003, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance and Management from Columbia Business School. Akif also became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1996. Recently, in 2021, they completed a certification as a Certified Professional Coach (CPC) and an Energy Leadership™ Index Master Practitioner (ELI-MP) from iPEC Coaching. Additionally, they obtained a second CPA certification from the AICPA in 1999.
