Cdme Nathan Hermiston

Nathan Hermiston, CDME, has extensive experience in the tourism and convention industry. Nathan is currently the Senior Vice President of Convention Sales and Services at Visit KC, a position they have held since 2019. Prior to this, Nathan worked at Meet Minneapolis where they held various roles including Senior Director of Destination Sales and Director of Destination Sales. During their time at Meet Minneapolis, Nathan oversaw the Destination Sales Team and Global Tourism team, developed and implemented sales programs, and set departmental goals. Before joining Meet Minneapolis, Nathan worked as a National Account Executive at the Hilton Minneapolis where they were responsible for group sales and services. Nathan consistently exceeded sales revenue goals. Nathan began their career as a Tour & Travel Account Executive at the Detroit Metro Convention & Visitors Bureau, where they coordinated volunteers for the National Tour Association Convention and attended industry tradeshows. Overall, Nathan has demonstrated expertise in sales, leadership, and event coordination throughout their career.

Nathan Hermiston, CDME, obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Travel & Tourism, Marketing from St. Cloud State University, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Later, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business and graduated from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota in 2015. In addition to their academic accomplishments, Nathan obtained the Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) certification from Destinations International in May 2022. Prior to this, they also obtained the Cvent Supplier Network certification from Cvent in June 2020.
