Gwen Pennington

Gwen Pennington is a highly experienced clinical nurse specialist currently working at Advocate Health since January 2017. Concurrently, Gwen serves as an RN staff educator at the Visiting Nurse Association, focusing on the orientation and mentoring of new home care clinicians, as well as continuing education and quality improvement initiatives. Previously, Gwen held the position of clinical assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2017 to 2019 and worked as an RN case manager at Aurora Health Care from January 2006 to April 2012, where responsibilities included comprehensive patient assessment and care planning. Gwen obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, along with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Lake Forest College.
