Neil Davies

Neil Davies has extensive work experience in performance engineering and consulting roles. Neil started their career as a Technical Manager at Sails Science in 1990 and later worked as a Senior Technical Consultant and Performance Consultant at Cogita Business Services Limited. In this role, they specialized in providing system performance solutions for MFG/PRO and Progress communities and earned recognition as a world expert in Progress Database Performance.

In 1998, they became a freelance Performance Consultant at Inforensics Limited, where they developed a successful Application Performance Management (APM) solution. Neil then joined St. Jude Medical as a Senior Database Administrator and Unix System Administrator. In this role, they implemented and managed a High-Availability SAN environment with EMC storage and designed an internal Disaster Recovery site architecture.

Afterwards, Neil joined Equinox Limited as a Principal Consultant in Performance Engineering and was responsible for various performance-related tasks. Neil then worked at Inforensics Limited again, this time as a Performance Engineer and Owner. During their tenure, they played a crucial role in this organization until their departure in 2017.

Currently, Neil is working as a Principal Performance Engineer at Vista Entertainment Solutions, where they apply their expertise to optimize performance. Overall, Neil Davies has a diverse background in performance engineering roles, showcasing their technical skills and their ability to solve system performance issues.

Neil Davies received their Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Engineering Science from The University of Auckland in 1987. Neil then pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Engineering Science from the same university, which they completed in 1989.
