Jim Purins

Jim Purins is an experienced professional in quality and metallurgy, currently serving as the Vice President of Quality and Metallurgy at Vista Metals Corp. since March 2015. Prior to this role, Jim Purins held multiple positions at Alcoa from July 1998 to March 2015, including Chief Metallurgical Engineer at Alcoa Lafayette Operations and Manager of Metallurgy and Quality Systems at Alcoa Halethorpe Extrusions. Additionally, Jim Purins was the Manager of Technology & Quality for the Flat Rolled Products Business Unit in Belaya Kalitva, Russian Federation, and began their career as a Metallurgical Engineer at Alcoa Davenport Works. Jim Purins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 1993 and 1998.
