Paul Weafer

Paul Weafer, PhD has a diverse work experience in the fields of product development, research, and engineering. Paul is currently serving as the Director of Product Development at VistaMed since April 2022. Prior to this, they held roles such as R&D Manager, Senior R&D Engineer, and Project Engineer at VistaMed between 2013 and 2022.

Paul also gained research experience at NUI Galway as a Ph.D. Researcher from November 2008 to January 2013. Additionally, they worked as a Research Fellow at University College Dublin from January 2009 to August 2012, where they contributed to a multi-disciplinary research team, focusing on instrumentation development, AFM, SEM, cell culture, teaching/mentoring, team work, presentations, and data analysis.

Furthermore, Paul started their career as an NPI Engineer (Intern) at Creganna Tactx Medical from March 2007 to September 2007.

Paul Weafer, PhD attended the University of Galway from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) degree in Biomedical Engineering. Paul then continued their education at the same institution from 2008 to 2013, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Engineering.
