Jason Hughes

Jason Hughes has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Jason started their career at Visual Matrix, where they began as a Support Specialist, providing technical support for a Property Management Software company. Jason gained experience in remote connection and administration of client systems, as well as SQL administration. Jason then transitioned to a Software Developer role, working with .NET technologies. Jason later became a Project Manager, where they had a holistic view of projects and still wrote code when needed. Most recently, they served as the Chief Technology Officer at Visual Matrix, responsible for overseeing technology initiatives.

In 2021, Jason joined ASG as a Growth Advisor, specializing in technology and growth advisement for various ASG companies. Jason was selected by ASG leadership to join the exclusive community of advisors. Currently, they are also the Founder of Hospitality Anywhere, a role they took on in 2022.

Jason Hughes attended The Ohio State University from 2005 to 2007, where they studied International Studies. In 2008, they enrolled in Western Governors University and completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Information Technology in 2012.

In terms of additional certifications, Jason obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2009, they achieved the CompTIA A+ Certification and the CompTIA Network+ Certification. In 2010, they obtained the CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist, CompTIA Security+ Certification, and the CompTIA Project+ Certification. In 2011, they earned the Web Design Specialist certification from CIW, and in 2012, they obtained the MTA Windows Server Administration Fundamentals and MTA Windows Operating System Fundamentals certifications from Microsoft Certified Professional, as well as the Database Design Specialist certification from CIW.

More recently, Jason obtained the Web Foundations Associate certification from CIW in 2008. In 2020, they achieved the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. In 2021, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate certification from Microsoft. Most recently, in 2022, they became a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) through Scrum Alliance.
