Carst Vaartjes began their work experience as an intern at Felix & Co in 1998. Carst then worked at various companies as a business consultant, including Client Vision (1999-2001), Ordina Oasis (2001-2002), DSA Business Intelligence (2002-2003), and Cx Vision (2003-2006), where they were also an owner. Carst then joined Deloitte Consulting as a senior manager from 2006 to 2013. Since 2013, they have co-founded and held positions as the Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Product Officer at Visualfabriq - AI Enhanced Revenue Management.
Carst Vaartjes holds a Master of Arts degree in Business Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), which they obtained from 1994 to 2000. Prior to that, they attended Johan van Oldebarnevelt Gymnasium from 1988 to 1994, where they completed their Grammar School education. In terms of certifications, Carst Vaartjes obtained the Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP) Master certification from TDWI / DNV in August 2011. Additionally, they obtained the Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) certification in January 2008, although the institution is unspecified.
