Si Murphy - Beng

Si Murphy is an accomplished engineer with a BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Lancaster University and extensive experience in the aviation sector. Currently serving as a Vita Fleet Engineer and Lead Remote Diagnostics and Test Engineer at VITA Power since August 2023, previous roles include Field Service Engineer in self-employment and various engineering positions with the Royal Air Force from 2008 to 2022, notably as an A400M Aircraft Ground Engineer (B2). Responsibilities encompassed providing avionics support for C17 Aircraft, managing a team of supervisors and tradesmen, and testing secure communication systems on military aircraft. Educational credentials include multiple qualifications in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering from RAF Cosford and a strong foundation in engineering from The Marches School and North Shropshire College. Si Murphy is a member of the Society of Operations Engineers (MSOE) and the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET).
