Lourens De Bruyn's work experience begins in 2009 at Boshoff Visser, where they worked as a trainee accountant. During their time there, they were responsible for various accounting and management accounting functions, including processing debtors and creditors, calculating and submitting VAT and EMP returns, preparing monthly management accounts, analyzing variances, and managing audits. Lourens also handled the preparation of statutory documents and financial statements for new and existing companies, trusts, and individuals. Additionally, they played a role in training and developing new employees.
In 2012, De Bruyn joined ECONO-HEAT™ as an accountant, where they worked until 2013.
From 2014 to 2018, they worked at Zibo Containers (Pty) Ltd as a management accountant.
In 2018, De Bruyn moved to Faurecia, where they initially served as a deputy plant controller until 2019. Lourens then took on the role of plant controller until 2021.
Most recently, in 2021, De Bruyn joined Vital Health Foods as a management accountant, where they are currently employed.
Lourens De Bruyn pursued their education in the field of accounting. From 2006 to 2008, they attended Stellenbosch University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree with a focus on Management Accounting. Following this, they enrolled in The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants from 2009 to 2013, where they completed the ACMA program specializing in Management Accounting.
