Jamie Oakey has held a variety of roles in the engineering and recreation fields since 2008. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a Recreation Assistant at Woking Borough Council, where they were responsible for lifeguard duties and other off-pool duties. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as an Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) Engineer at Leoni, where they supported the engineering team in design elements of the project and build support tests at customer production sites. From 2015 to 2018, they worked at Network Rail as an Assistant Project Engineer for Infrastructure Projects Signalling Southern, where they were part of the team delivering renewals work and enhancements on the Lewes to Newhaven project. Finally, from 2018 to the present, they have worked at Vivacity Labs as a Technical Engineering Specialist, Delivery team lead, and Support Engineer.
Jamie Oakey's education history includes completing a Master's Degree in Engineering with Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UCL from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire from 2010 to 2014. From 2008 to 2010, they obtained A-Levels in Maths, Physics and Business Studies at Godalming College. Jamie attended Broadwater School from 2003 to 2008.
