Leo Benning

Leo Benning has a diverse work experience in the medical and healthcare field. Leo started in 2020 as a Clinician Scientist at Universitätsklinikum Freiburg, where they focused on integrating in-patient and out-patient services in the emergency department. Leo then moved on to become the Head of Clinical at Vivira Health Lab in 2021, where they developed and oversaw studies and trials for digital health applications, specifically in the field of Digitale Gesundheitsanwendungen (DiGA). Additionally, Leo served as a Visiting Researcher at the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) from 2020 to 2021, contributing to the development and adoption of global Standard Sets of outcome measures in healthcare.

From 2012 to 2019, they attended The University of Freiburg, where they earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in the field of Medizin.

In 2018, they had an elective placement at the University of Oxford in the Department for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as part of their MD program.

Leo continued their studies at The University of Freiburg from 2015 to 2020, pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Medizin.

Most recently, from 2020 to 2021, Leo Benning attended Harvard University to obtain a Master's degree (MPH) in the field of Master of Public Health.
