James Wright

Dr. Wright joined Vivtex as SVP of Drug Development in 2018. He oversees Vivtex’s drug development activities and strategy. Prior to that, he held various executive and leadership positions in pharma and biotech companies. He was Chief Scientific Officer of Bind Therapeutics, a clinical-stage drug delivery company. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Development at Infinity Pharmaceuticals. Before joining Infinity, he was Vice President of Pharmaceutical Development at Millennium Pharmaceuticals.. Earlier, he was Senior Vice President of Development at Alkermes plc and Distinguished Scientist at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. He was the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Scientific & Clinical Advisory Board of the drug delivery company Civitas Therapeutics. Dr. Wright teaches at the University of Wisconsin as an Adjunct Professor. Dr. Wright received his Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin and B.A. degrees in Biology and Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
