Simona Levi has extensive work experience in the legal field, specializing in corporate transactions and intellectual property matters. Simona currently serves as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Vizgen, starting in July 2022. Previously, they held the position of Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Vedanta Biosciences, Inc. from September 2021 to June 2022.

Simona Levi's longest tenure was at Cell Signaling Technology, Inc. (CST) where they worked as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary from May 2007 to September 2021. In this role, they were responsible for all legal matters within the organization, including intellectual property, technology licensing, commercial negotiations, and corporate governance.

Prior to their time at CST, Simona Levi worked as a Partner at McDermott Will & Emery from May 2004 to December 2007. Simona'spractice primarily focused on corporate transactions in the life sciences, medical devices, and chemical industries. Simona also specialized in the valuation and analysis of intellectual property rights.

Simona Levi has also held positions at Biogen as the Director of Neurology, IVAX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as the Chief IP Counsel, and Hale and Dorr LLP (WilmerHale) as an Associate and Jr. Partner. Simona began their career as a Technology Specialist at Dann, Dorfman, Herrell and Skillman.

Throughout their career, Simona Levi has demonstrated expertise in legal matters related to corporate transactions, intellectual property, technology licensing, and regulatory compliance. Simona has also been involved in strategic planning, joint ventures, and product liability litigation. Simona Levi has experience working with both outside counsel and internal committees to ensure legal compliance and facilitate business development.

Simona Levi completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Economics from Rutgers College, where they double majored, from 1984 to 1989. Simona then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry / Molecular Biology at Rutgers University, which they completed from 1989 to 1993. Following this, Simona attended the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and studied Law from 1993 to 1996.
