Tamar Cabayan

Tamar Cabayan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Tamar currently holds the position of Legal Counsel, Advertising, Data & Technology at VIZIO since February 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Opendoor as Sr. Data Transactions Counsel from September 2021 to November 2022, where they handled various data-based agreements and internal data projects. Tamar also served as Corporate Counsel at Grifols from March 2020 to September 2021, overseeing domestic and global agreements and providing counseling on legal issues such as cyber security and data privacy. Tamar started their legal career as an Associate Counsel at PCM from March 2015 to September 2019, handling a wide range of commercial activities and drafting online terms. Before entering the legal field, Tamar gained experience as an Associate at The Law Offices of Gerard V. Kassabian and The 119 LLC in 2014. Tamar also worked as a Clerk at Kabateck, Brown & Kellner LLP for two months in 2012. Outside of their legal roles, Tamar co-founded the Iraqi Refugee Assistance Program in 2011, serving as Fundraising Chair. Tamar also had a judicial externship at The Honorable Zaven V. Sinanian, California Superior Court in 2011 and served as a Teaching Intern for Professor Robert Dekmejian at the University Of Southern California from August 2009 to May 2010.

Tamar Cabayan pursued their education at the University of Southern California from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree. Prior to that, they attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2005 to 2008, completing their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a focus on Political Science and Government. In addition to their academic achievements, Tamar Cabayan also holds a certification as an Attorney, obtained from the State Bar of California in November 2013. Tamar further obtained the certification of The Certified Information Privacy Professional - United States (CIPP/US) from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals in January 2020.
