Rick May, PMP

Rick May, PMP has over 30 years of work experience. Rick started their career in the USAF as an MSC and worked there until 2006. During this time, they also served as a Program Manager for a $6.2M contract for the Air Force Surgeon General. In 2006, they joined IMS Health as a Program Manager, leading a team of 52 personnel to build and manage healthcare delivery websites for the Air Force.

After leaving IMS Health, Rick worked as a Practice Administrator for a five-physician Oncology/Radiation practice at US Oncology. Rick implemented an Electronic Medical Record system and managed the Go-Live schedule for staff and providers.

In 2009, they became the Chief Operations Officer at 360 Digital Media, where they directed daily operations and managed a team of 18 employees. Rick achieved operational performance targets and successfully delivered large-scale graphic materials.

From 2010 to 2011, Rick worked at Booz Allen Hamilton as an Associate, where they directed 6 personnel in executing a $6M contract for the DoD Defense Health Agency. Rick drafted policies and guidance for the protection of the Military Health System database.

From 2011 to 2014, Rick served as an Implementation Executive at Health Care DataWorks, managing a team of implementation managers and a 20-person technical team to deploy an Enterprise Data Warehouse solution. Rick guided and coached hospital clinical informatics staff in achieving project goals using this solution.

In 2014, they joined Axiom Resource Management as the Team Lead for Senior Health Policy Analyst, directing a team of five analysts in updating the Department of Defense TRICARE Manuals. Rick received praise from the TRICARE Director for the quality of the Manuals.

From 2015 to 2017, Rick worked at Texzon Technologies as the Director of Operations, where they directed all business operations and projects for Viziv Technologies. Rick assisted in the establishment of the strategic plan, goals, and business infrastructure.

Currently, Rick is the Director of Business Development and Integration at Viziv Technologies, where they utilize their expertise to drive business growth and integration efforts.

Rick May, PMP, has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Rick obtained this degree from 1987 to 1992. Additionally, they hold a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Hospital Administration from Central Michigan University, which they completed from 1994 to 1996. Rick May is also certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute.
