Zara Shilakis

Zara Shilakis is an accomplished sustainability advocate with extensive experience in various roles focused on climate action and youth engagement. Currently a member of the Action for Climate Empowerment Working Group at YOUNGO, Zara collaborates with organizations like C40 and ICLEI to enhance youth participation in policy dialogues. As Chair of the University of Bristol Sustainability Network, Zara significantly increased student engagement and organized impactful events highlighting climate justice and sustainability. Zara's background includes consultancy work for educational institutions to promote sustainability, research assistance in circular economy projects, and involvement in international youth delegations at UN climate conferences. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Global Design Engineering at TEDI-London, Zara's diverse experiences reflect a strong commitment to sustainable practices and environmental advocacy.
