Ann Viaene

Ann Viaene is an accomplished European Patent Attorney currently serving as an Associate at De Clercq & Partners and as a Member of the Hermes Beslissingscommittée at Agentschap Innoveren & Ondernemen. Ann has held the position of Managing Director at The Next Big Idea since May 2015. Previous experience includes leading the patent team at Syngenta Ghent Innovation Center and overseeing Intellectual Property at Devgen. Ann holds a PhD in Science from the Interdisciplinary Research Center at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and completed training as a European Patent Attorney.
