Stefan Himpe

As global chief financial officer, Stefan is involved in the detailed operations of our business and client operations; he is responsible for all financial and commercial aspects of the VMLY&R business for our clients, shareholders and stakeholders. Stefan brings a wealth of experience in managing acquisitions and mergers.

Stefan has worked in various roles at WPP, most recently as the global CFO/COO for Geometry Global, the world’s premier shopper and activation network. Prior to his role at Geometry Global, Stefan spent four years at McCann Worldgroup as its EMEA COO/CFO. He spent most of his early career at Y&R and was based in various locations, including Budapest, Amsterdam, Singapore and London.

Stefan is an avid (bordering on fanatic) football (“soccer”) fan and enjoys cycling, skiing, theater, and live music gigs. He lives in New York City but was born in Brugge, Belgium, and speaks four languages. He trained as an accountant at Price Waterhouse (now PwC) and has a master’s as a commercial engineer from the University of Brussels.
