Michael Bourton, CISSP, CCSP, CISSP-ISSAP

Michael Bourton, CISSP, CCSP, CISSP-ISSAP has over 15 years of experience in the IT field. Michael began their career in 2005 as an Infrastructure Specialist at IBM Danmark. In 2007, they took on the role of UK Technical Lead at Haver Analytics. In 2008, they became the IT Manager at FourWinds Capital Management, where they designed and deployed the London and Geneva offices and dealt with budgeting, planning and day to day IT issues. From 2010 to 2013, they were an IT Manager at Saxo Bank. During this time, they also worked as a freelance consultant. From 2015 to 2017, they were an Infrastructure Consultant at Opsview. Michael then moved on to become a Technical Consultant at MCB Technical Ltd. In 2019, they became a Senior Sales Engineer EMEA at Fidelis Cybersecurity. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Solutions Architect at Cysiv, and in 2022 they took on the role of Senior Security Solutions Engineer at VMRay.

Michael Bourton has a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Greenwich, obtained between 2002 and 2005. Michael also holds a number of certifications, including a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² obtained in March 2019, an Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (ISSAP) from (ISC)² obtained in February 2022, a Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) from (ISC)² obtained in August 2020, an ISO 27001 Lead Implementer - Information Security Certification from IT Governance Ltd obtained in March 2019, a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) from the University of Oxford, Department for Continuing Education obtained in April 2018, a PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner Certification Training from AXELOS Global Best Practice obtained in December 2012, a Microsoft Certified IT Professional: Enterprise Administrator from Microsoft obtained in December 2009, a CREST Practitioner Security Analyst from CREST - www.crest-approved.org obtained in June 2019, and a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council obtained in January 2018.
