Brandon Mazibuko has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, specializing in transmission networks and spectrum licensing. Brandon has worked at Vodacom as a Principal Specialist in Access Transmission, where they were responsible for transmission planning, optimization, and performance management across all transmission media. Prior to this, they worked at the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory as a Senior Engineer, ensuring compliance with regulations for protecting astronomy advantage areas. Brandon also worked as a Senior Specialist at Vodacom, where they contributed to transmission network strategy development and engineering of microwave radio networks. Additionally, they have experience at Neotel as an RF Specialist, contributing to network strategy development and research on GPONs. Brandon's earlier experience includes roles at Sentech SOC Limited as a Radio Coverage Planner, Movere Wireless Solutions as a Systems Engineer, and Telkom SA as an RF Specialist in Radio Frequency Spectrum Management.
Brandon Mazibuko studied Electrical Engineering at Technikon Pretoria from 1994 to 1998 and later pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Electrical Engineering at Tshwane University of Technology from 2007 to 2009. Brandon then obtained a Certificate in Telecomms Policy, Regulation & Management from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2010. Brandon furthered their education with a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Business Administration from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 2010 to 2012. Brandon went on to complete a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Engineering Management at the University of Johannesburg from 2013 to 2015, and finally, received a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Economics from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 2017 to 2019.
