Jared Naidoo

Jared Naidoo has extensive work experience in the field of data science and engineering. Jared is currently working as the Principal Data Scientist at Vodacom, leading the Hyper-Personalisation team within the Big Data department. Jared'srole focuses on Customer Value Management and providing personalized products to customers.

Prior to their current role, Jared worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Vodacom, where they built machine learning models for real-time and batch recommendations. Jared also focused on developing solutions to offer personalized products to customers.

Before joining Vodacom, Jared worked at Absa Group, starting as a Software Engineer in the Absa Rising Eagles Graduate Program. Jared rotated between the CIB and Engineering teams, gaining experience in Python, C#, Angular, and web development.

After completing the graduate program, Jared became a Data Scientist in the Artificial Intelligence Team at Absa Group. Jared worked on projects involving document classification, facial recognition, and fraud detection.

Jared's work experience also includes a Data Science Internship at the University of the Witwatersrand, where they participated in a program focused on theoretical and practical lessons in data science fundamentals.

Jared Naidoo completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science and Information Systems from the University of the Witwatersrand between 2013 and 2017. Jared later pursued a Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in Computer Science from the same university between 2019 and 2020.
