Michiel van Wieringen

Michiel Van Wieringen is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in operational finance and management. Currently serving as Senior Business Control Manager at VodafoneZiggo since February 2017, Michiel previously held the role of Director of Operations at Liberty Global, where responsibilities included operational and financial support, strategic positioning, and business development for the Film1/Sport1 business unit. Before that, Michiel was the Director of Operational Finance & Planning at Chellomedia Benelux, overseeing budgeting, long-term planning, and leading a team in finance and corporate development. Earlier career experiences include roles as Group Controller and Business Controller at Chellomedia, and Audit Manager at Ernst & Young. Michiel holds a post-doctorate degree in Accountancy and a degree in Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
