Rene Harkema

Rene Harkema has extensive experience in the railway transport industry, currently serving as BU manager railtransport en railmaterieel at voestalpine Railpro since September 2008, after previously holding the position of hoofd railtransport en wagonparkbeheer. Prior to this role, Rene was employed at DB Schenker Rail Nederland as Procesmanager Noord Nederland from May 1998 to September 2008. Rene began a career in the sector at Nederlandse Spoorwegen, working as a fully licensed machinist from July 1990 to May 1998. Educational qualifications include a HBO degree in Bedrijfskunde from NCOI Opleidingsgroep (2005-2008) and an MBO degree in Werktuigbouwkunde from PBNA (1995-1998).
