Luke Powell

Luke Powell is a skilled software engineer currently working at Volant Autonomy since July 2022. Previously, Luke held the position of Aerodynamics Lead at Team Bath Drones, where responsibilities included selecting suitable aerofoils and evaluating aircraft aerodynamic performance. Prior to that, Luke served as an Undergraduate Guidance, Navigation & Control Engineer at MBDA, focusing on novel autopilot solutions and developing control systems for guided munitions. Early career experience includes an administrative role at 3LINE ELECTRICAL WHOLESALE LIMITED, where data processing and stock-taking procedures were streamlined. Luke holds a Master of Engineering in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the University of Bath, as well as A-Level qualifications in Physics, Mathematics, and Further Mathematics, along with a B-TEC Level 3 Diploma in Music Technology from The Blandford School.
