Pierre Colomb

Pierre Colomb is a seasoned technology leader and educator with extensive experience in both academia and industry. As a co-founder of Volcamp, an annual tech conference in Clermont-Ferrand, Pierre oversees finance and co-leads the selection committee. In academia, Pierre serves as an associate lecturer at Université Clermont Auvergne, teaching various engineering and master's courses, and has held teaching positions at multiple institutions from 2006 to 2016. Pierre's industry experience includes a progressive tenure at Braincube, culminating as VP of Technology, where responsibilities included driving tech vision, managing engineering teams, and leading significant fundraising efforts. Additionally, Pierre founded Lava Jug, the oldest tech community in Clermont-Ferrand, organizing numerous meetups. Pierre holds a PhD in Computer Science from Université Blaise Pascal and possesses a robust background in research, development, and teaching across various technical domains.
