Richard Duff

Richard Duff is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in the automotive industry. Currently serving as Design Director at Volkswagen of America, Inc. since October 2021, Richard leads design activities at VW Design Center California, focusing on the North American region. Prior roles include Design Manager at OPEL AUTOMOBILE GMBH, where responsibilities encompassed exterior lighting and component development, and various positions at General Motors, including Exterior Design Expert and Senior Creative Designer. Richard's career began with internships at Volkswagen and Johnson Controls Automotive. Richard holds a Bachelor's degree in Transportation Design from ArtCenter College of Design and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology from Western Washington University.
