Ben MacDonell

Ben MacDonell has a solid work experience in software engineering. Ben started their career as a Summer Intern at Matakina Technology in November 2012 and worked there until January 2013. In February 2014, they joined Volpara Health as a Software Engineer and stayed with the company until July 2018. During their time at Volpara Health, they progressed to the position of Senior Software Engineer in August 2018 and then became an Engineering Lead in October 2019. Most recently, in September 2022, they were promoted to Engineering Manager at Volpara Health.

Ben MacDonell completed their education in the field of Computer Science. Ben obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from the University of Otago, attending between the years 2012 and 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from the same university, attending between 2008 and 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Ben MacDonell has also acquired two certifications from Microsoft. Ben obtained the certification of Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate in December 2020 and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert in March 2023.
