Kamel Sid has over 20 years of experience in operations and manufacturing roles. Kamel currently works at Volvo Construction Equipment as the Vice President of Operations for Loaders, Trucks, Road Machinery, and Components. In this role, they oversee 8 plants across Europe, US, and Latin America, leading a team of approximately 4600 employees. Kamel is responsible for aligning the operations strategy with Volvo CE's goals and driving performance in each product platform. Prior to joining Volvo Construction Equipment, Kamel worked at Volvo Group as the Vice President of Operations, overseeing three production plants with 2700 employees. Kamel led a major transformation program focusing on revising the industrial footprint and product renewal. Kamel also worked at Renault Trucks as the Director of Operations, Deputy Director of the Customer Adaptations and Special Vehicles Department, and Production Manager. Kamel's achievements at Renault Trucks include introducing new high-duty range models, building a lean culture, and improving safety, quality, and productivity metrics significantly. Kamel started their career as a Lean Manufacturing Engineer at Faurecia.

Kamel Sid holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from HEC Paris, which they obtained from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, from 1997 to 2001, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arts et Métiers ParisTech - École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers. Alongside their formal education, they have also acquired additional certifications, including a MasterTrack Certificate in Digital and Marketing from HEC Paris in 2021 and an Executive Certificate in Leading Digital Transformation from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business in 2020.
