Dr.-Ing. Carl-Ernst Stephan

Dr.-Ing. Carl-Ernst Stephan serves as the Head of Global R&D at Von Roll since June 2013, overseeing the company's entire product range and leading a worldwide R&D organization focused on resins, insulation tapes, wire, flexible laminates, and composite materials. Previous roles include Head of Technology Electricity Production Hydro at ABB, where a new department was established, and Director of Technical Services at Alstom Hydro Switzerland, leading technical services for hydrogenerators across Europe. Additional positions at Alstom Power and ABB involved leading the development of innovative insulation systems and electrical designs for turbogenerators. Dr.-Ing. Carl-Ernst Stephan holds a Dr.-Ing. degree from RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau and has extensive experience in research and development within the electrical engineering and energy sectors.
