Jose Luis Martínez has been working in the technology industry since 1999. In 1999, they began as a Developer at CanalGolf. In 2001, they joined CAPSiDE as an AWS Official Trainer, Chief Technology Officer, AWS Authorized Instructor Champion, and Open Source Developer - Opsview. From 2008 to 2020, they were a CPAN Module Author and Maintainer. In 2020, they began working as CTO of BiteRight, Chief Cloud Officer of Voovio Technologies, and a Freelance Consultant specialized in Architecting Cloud Infrastructure for applications. In 2021, they became an Online Trainer with O'Reilly Media, sharing knowledge through O'Reilly Online Training Courses.

In 2010, they completed a Masterclass in Open Innovation and Corporate Entrepreneurship and an Introduction to Erlang course. In 2009, they completed a Seminar in Technology Project Management. In 2008, they obtained a certification as a Sun Certified Solaris Associate and completed a Request Tracker Official Training course. In 2007, they completed courses in Industrial Robotics and Oracle 10g.
