Senior Director of Policy and Programs at Vote.org

Sydney Rose has extensive work experience, primarily in the nonprofit sector. From 2021 to the present, they have served as the Senior Director of Policy and Programs at Vote.org, where they led their voter mobilization program and established their policy department. During their time there, they reached a record number of underserved voters through various contacts. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2021, Sydney was the Director of Programs at Vote.org, responsible for utilizing technology to increase voter turnout and strengthen American democracy.

From 2018 to 2020, Sydney worked as the Director at Rose Gold Impact, LLC. In this role, they oversaw business operations and the development and execution of the company's vision and strategic plan. Sydney also managed a team of contractors and collaborated with leadership and volunteers to initiate projects that enhanced the data capacity and resources of social impact organizations.

Sydney's work experience also includes serving as the Senior Business Development Manager at DataKind from 2016 to 2018. In this position, they united data scientists, subject matter experts, and strategic partners for data science engagements and managed corporate and foundation relationships.

Before that, Sydney was the Program Manager of Social Enterprise at the Harvard Business School Club of New York from 2014 to 2016. Sydney's earlier experience includes working as the Assistant Program Director/Development at Children's Aid from 2013 to 2014, where they directed program operations for Deaf and hard-of-hearing children and handled fundraising, grant writing, social media, and outreach. Prior to that, they worked as a Program Development Consultant at ECPAT-USA from 2011 to 2013, focusing on ending the commercial sexual exploitation of children. Additionally, Sydney served as a Spanish Interpreter at Lynn District Court in 2008-2009.

Overall, Sydney has a wealth of experience in leadership, program management, business development, and social impact initiatives.

Sydney Rose, PMI-ACP® (She/her), has a diverse education background. Sydney obtained a Masters degree in Social Enterprise Administration with a minor in International Social Welfare from Columbia University, completing their studies from 2010 to 2012. In 2018, Sydney attended Harvard Business School Online and earned a certificate in Business Analytics and Financial Accounting. Prior to their graduate degree, Sydney attended Boston College, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies and Spanish.

In addition to their educational achievements, Sydney Rose holds several certifications. Sydney obtained the PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® from the Project Management Institute in June 2018. Sydney also holds an Advanced Google Analytics certification from Google, obtained in January 2020. Sydney possesses a certification as a Certified Business Development Expert from The Business Institute, although the specific month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
