Isabel López

Isabel M. is a dedicated and multifaceted professional currently serving as a Historical Researcher at the U.S. Department of State, focusing on the historical context of slavery within the department. Isabel also holds an associate position at the Boston Consulting Group while contributing as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at UNC's Department of Computer Science. In leadership roles such as Treasurer for the UNC Women in National Security and through independent research with Honors Carolina, Isabel demonstrates a strong commitment to education, historical research, and empowerment opportunities. Previous experiences include an Art & Wellness Internship at the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine and editorial roles with Jasūr Magazine and the Carolina International Relations Association. Isabel is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Peace, War & Defense and Data Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and will further studies in International History at The London School of Economics and Political Science.
