Matt Crider

Matt Crider is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in developing interactive web applications and tools. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Vox Media since August 2021, Crider previously worked at CBC as a Technical Lead and Senior Developer, where contributions included the creation of interactive stories and tools for national events such as the federal election. Crider has also owned Typewriter Software, partnering with top design studios, and held senior development roles at various companies, including Concrete Design Communications and Normative. With a background rooted in web development and technology partnerships since 2006, Crider holds a BA in Cognitive Science from Simon Fraser University.
