Patrick Cleveland has a diverse work experience spanning several decades. Patrick started their career at Dow Chemical in 1970, where they worked as an Electron Microscopist. In this role, they conducted research experiments on the effects of insecticides on cockroaches and studied the surface topography of rabbit retinas using new technology. Patrick then transitioned to UC San Diego in 1976, where they served as a Professor until 1993. Lastly, Patrick Cleveland founded V&P Scientific, Inc. in 1978 and has been serving as the President & CEO of the company since then.
Patrick Cleveland earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Montana State University-Bozeman in the years 1962 to 1967. Patrick then pursued a Master of Science degree in Virology at the same institution from 1967 to 1970. Patrick later went on to complete their Ph.D. in Microbiology with a specialization in Tumor Immunology at the University of Minnesota from 1972 to 1976.
