Jan Bernardy

Jan Bernardy serves as Vice President of the Union of European Veterinary Practitioners since June 2023 and holds the position of Senior Research Scientist at the Veterinary Research Institute since September 2015. As a co-owner of kubeVET, a veterinary practice in Brno, Jan emphasizes affordable pet services and clear communication. Jan's extensive experience includes leadership roles such as Member of the Board and former Vice President of the Chamber of Veterinary Surgeons of the Czech Republic, where the honorary title of President was held from December 2012 to November 2014. Jan has contributed to the veterinary community as President of the Scientific Board for the World Veterinary Congress in Prague in 2013 and as a professor assistant at the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences from 2003 to 2012. An education background includes a Ph.D. in swine immunology and an MVDr degree in general veterinary from the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Brno.
