Ivy Son has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ivy has worked as a Senior Product Designer at VSCO since 2022, and prior to that, they worked as a Product Designer from 2021 to 2022. At Ampush, they served as a UX/UI Designer from 2020 to 2021, where they built and maintained a design system, analyzed user behavior, and documented designer processes to streamline productivity. As a Product Designer at UNUM from 2019 to 2020, they designed and developed webpages, created UI and visual designs, and delivered multiple UI projects. Ivy also worked as a Project Manager/Assistant for Claude VonStroke/Barclay Crenshaw in 2019, managing social media campaigns, overseeing art direction, and balancing complex projects. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Volunteer Coordinator/Production Assistant at Desert X from 2018 to 2019, where they coordinated schedules, mapped tours, and maintained artworks. Ivy also worked at Artsblock as an Exhibition Designer Assistant and Curatorial Intern from 2016 to 2018, handling artworks, installing exhibits, and performing light construction techniques. At UCR Associated Students Program Board, they served as the Design Chairperson and Director of Design from 2016 to 2018, conducting training workshops, managing design expectations, and creating marketing campaigns. Ivy also had internships at the Chinese American Museum LA as a Pacific Standard Time LA/LA Exhibition Assistant and a Getty Multicultural Undergraduate Curatorial and Collections Management Intern in 2017, where they assisted with exhibition coordination, conducted research, and worked with collections. Ivy's work experience demonstrates their expertise in product design, UX/UI design, project management, social media marketing, coordination, and exhibition management.
Ivy Son began their education in 2013 at Riverside City College, where they pursued an Associate of Arts degree in Art History, Criticism, and Conservation. Ivy attended Riverside City College until 2016. In the following year, Ivy transferred to the University of California, Riverside, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Art History, completing their studies in 2018.
