Jack Thomas has over 30 years of experience in the media and broadcasting industry. Jack started their career in 1986 as an Editor at Video Dub, Inc, where they performed various editing tasks and worked on advertising insertion and program formatting. Jack then moved on to Media-Tech East, Inc in 1994, where they worked as a Broadcast Tape Operator, Syndication Editor, and QC Technician, focusing on satellite feeds and quality control. In 1996, they joined Viacom (MGS Services) as a Broadcast Technician and later moved to WilTel Communications as a Syndication Editor, utilizing broadcast media servers for encoding and transmission. Jack joined DG, Inc. in 1996 as an Operations Supervisor, overseeing various tasks such as digitizing, encoding, and duplication. Jack then joined Level 3 Communications in 1999 as a Senior Broadcast Technician and later became an Operations Manager. In 2012, they worked at Media Production, Encoding, or Broadcast Operations as a Digital Media Professional. From 2013 to 2015, they were employed by Warner Bros. Entertainment Group of Companies as a Digital Media Essence & Composition Technician. Currently, they are working at VUBIQUITY as a CHOP Lead Encoding and Digital Media Operator.
Jack Thomas attended Kern County College in 2013. Prior to that, they studied Cinematography and Film/Video Production at the School of Visual Arts from 1982 to 1986. Jack also attended the High School Of Art & Design, focusing on Film/Video and Photographic Arts. Additionally, they obtained several certifications in 2013, including Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR, AED & Adult First Aid, Hazwoper Awareness Training, and OSHA 10.
