Joseph Petsinger

Joseph Petsinger has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the field of additive manufacturing and engineering. Joseph is currently working at VulcanForms Inc. as an Additive Manufacturing Engineer II. Prior to this, they served as the Operations Lead - Process Engineering and Process Engineer - Operations at the same company. Joseph also worked as an Additive Manufacturing Specialist at VulcanForms Inc.

Before joining VulcanForms Inc., Joseph worked as an Additive Manufacturing Engineer at GPI Prototype & Manufacturing Services, where they were responsible for quality assurance and setup of metal L-PBF machines. Joseph also demonstrated a deep understanding of ISO9001:2015 certification requirements.

Joseph gained experience as an Additive Manufacturing Intern at Renishaw, where they operated and maintained metal SLM machines. Joseph developed a macro program for analyzing calibration tests and optimized build layout and scanning strategies for build integrity.

During their time at Northern Illinois University, Joseph worked as an Undergraduate Researcher, conducting research on Direct Energy Deposition (DED) Additive Manufacturing. Joseph also assisted in analyzing build samples as part of an industry collaboration.

In addition to their engineering experiences, Joseph has also worked as a Server/Fountain Worker at Wilson's Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlor, an Engineering Intern at Argonne National Laboratory, a Painting Technician at Always Perfect Painters, an Assistant Mold Designer (Intern) at Foreman Tool & Mold, and as a Tournant at DuPage Airport Authority / DuPage Flight Center.

Joseph Petsinger's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Engineering Technology from Northern Illinois University. Joseph attended Northern Illinois University from 2017 to 2019.

Prior to that, Joseph obtained an Associate of General Studies degree in Mechanical Engineering from the College of DuPage. Joseph attended the College of DuPage from 2014 to 2016.
