Janet Kavinoky has had an extensive career in government relations and transportation policy. Janet most recently served as the Vice President of External Affairs and Corporate Communications at Vulcan Materials Company, a position they have held since April 2019. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Governmental Relations at the same company from April 2017 to March 2019. Before joining Vulcan, Kavinoky spent nine years at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where they held various roles, including Vice President of Transportation and Infrastructure from 2009 to 2015. Janet also had a four-year tenure as the Director of Business Development & Transportation Policy at AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) from 2002 to 2006. In addition, Kavinoky held a managerial position at Accenture from 2001 to 2002 and worked as an intern at Caltrans in 2000. Janet began their career at the U.S. Department of Transportation, holding several positions including Special Assistant to the Secretary and Transportation Policy Analyst.
Janet Kavinoky holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Stanford University Graduate School of Business, which they earned from 1999 to 2001. Janet also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Political Economy from the University of Wyoming, completing their studies from 1991 to 1995. Janet received their high school education and earned a diploma from Hot Springs County High School between 1986 and 1991.
