Tormod Gjermundsen

Tormod Gjermundsen is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the transportation and aerospace industries. As Chief Technical Officer for Vy since April 2019, Tormod has played a pivotal role in overseeing technical operations and rolling stock for passenger trains. Tormod also serves as a Board Member at Kolumbus AS since January 2018. Prior to these roles, Tormod was Vice President, COO, and CTO of NSB Persontog from 2007 to April 2019, as well as holding various senior positions at Braathens Technical Services AS and SAS - Scandinavian Airlines. Tormod's early career included key roles at Boeing and in marine engineering, supported by a strong educational background in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
