Iryna V. Lendel has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Iryna V. currently holds the position of Senior Director of Regional Economic and Community Development at the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director at the Center for Economic Development at Cleveland State University from February 2016 to July 2022. Iryna V. Lendel has a strong educational background in the fields of Urban Studies, Economics, and Economics of Oil and Gas Production. Iryna V. earned their PhD in Urban Studies from Cleveland State University, completing their studies from 2000 to 2008. Prior to that, they achieved another PhD in Economics from the Institute of Regional Research National Academy of Science of Ukraine, which they pursued from 1994 to 1996. Iryna V. obtained their Master's degree in Economics of Oil and Gas Production from Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, where they spent the years 1986 to 1992.
