Raghu Mallena has a strong background in technology and leadership roles. Raghu currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Wadhwani Foundation, where they focus on creating AI-enabled platforms and products to promote job creation globally. Prior to this, they co-founded Plackal Tech and served as the CTO, where they developed and launched Maya, a health-tracking app for women. Raghu also worked at companies like VuNet Systems, Juniper Networks, Cisco Systems, Network Appliance, and Silicon Graphics (SGI), where they held various technical and management positions. Overall, their experience spans across multiple industries and includes expertise in areas such as data analytics, machine learning, networking, and engineering management.
Raghu Mallena began their education in 1988 at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where they pursued a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Electronics and Communications Engineering. Raghu completed their undergraduate degree in 1992. Following this, they went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Distributed Computing. Raghu studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1992 to 1995.
