Ali al-Shaery

Ali Al-Shaery currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Wadi Makkah since January 2023. Previously, Ali held various leadership roles at Umm Al-Qura University from March 2013 to January 2023, including Vice President of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Dean of the Institute of Consulting Research and Studies, and Deputy Director of the Transportation and Crowd Management Center of Research Excellence. Ali's early career included a position as a Project Manager at the Ministry of Municipalities and Rural Affairs from August 2002 to September 2004. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Geospatial Engineering from UNSW (2008-2013), a Master of Science in Geomatics Engineering from UCL (2006-2007), and executive education at IMD and INSEAD in 2017 and 2019.
