Ben Smith

Ben Smith is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in project and engineering management, specializing in controls and electronics. Currently serving as Chief Engineer at Williams Advanced Engineering since October 2022, Ben previously held the role of Project Director at Miura Systems Ltd, where leadership was provided to a global team for the development of Android-based mobile payment systems. Ben founded SMITHS SOFTWARE LIMITED in 2002, overseeing the development of high integrity systems for the defence and automotive industries. With significant experience from companies such as YASA, ZF Group, and Lockheed Martin, Ben has successfully led various engineering teams and managed complex projects, demonstrating expertise in electric motor launch, safety-critical systems, and embedded software development.
