Chris Leak

Chris Leak has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Chris is currently serving as the Managing Director and Head of Business Development at Wafra since April 2023. Previously, Chris held the position of Managing Director, Head of UK, Co-Lead Europe, and Board Director at Nuveen from January 2019 to January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Vice President at Oaktree Capital Management, overseeing EMEA consultant relations and the UK & Ireland institutional business from January 2011 to December 2018. Chris also has experience working at Hermes Investment Management as an Associate Director from January 2004 to June 2010 and at F&C Asset Management as an Institutional Client Manager from November 2003 to January 2004. Chris started their career at Baring Asset Management as a Client Manager, focusing on institutional sales and consultant relations from December 2000 to October 2003. Chris began their professional journey as a Portfolio Accountant at State Street from November 1999 to December 2000.

Chris Leak attended Loughborough Grammar School from 1988 to 1991. Following this, they enrolled at The Perse School from 1991 to 1995. Chris then pursued their higher education at the University of Leeds from 1995 to 1998, where they obtained a BA Honours degree in Geography.
