Jos Molthoff

Plant Researcher at Wageningen Plant Research

Jos Molthoff is a seasoned Plant Researcher with extensive experience at Wageningen Plant Research since January 2007, where involvement began in the Breeding for Quality group founded by Arnaud Bovy. Research focus includes the influence of the MYB12 transcription factor on pink tomato fruits and the analysis of low and high propanoid pathways across different ripening stages in tomatoes. Prior to this, Jos was engaged at Wageningen University & Research from August 2004 to December 2005, specializing in micro-arrays and qPCR techniques under Jaap Keijer, specifically investigating the role of Ω-3 unsaturated fatty acids. Jos's career also includes work as a Plant Researcher and technician in various capacities at Plant Research International from 1988 to 2004, and earlier military service as a Sergeant in the Royal Dutch Land Forces. Jos holds a degree in Microbiology from Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences, obtained between 1984 and 1988.
