Safdar Alam

Safdar Alam is an experienced leader in the field of Islamic finance and investment, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of WahedX, a Shariah-compliant private investment platform, and Maydan Capital, an ethical equity investment platform. Safdar also holds a position on the UK Advisory Board for Wahed and has co-founded Niyah. As the owner of Siyam Capital, a newly established Shariah-compliant investment firm, Safdar focuses on introducing new asset classes to the global market. With a strong educational background in mathematics from Alliance Manchester Business School, Safdar has also contributed to academia as a lecturer at Queen Mary University of London. Previous roles include significant positions at JPMorgan, Calyon Investment Bank, UBS, and KPMG UK, showcasing a robust career in Islamic banking and finance.
