Michael Ko

Michael Ko has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Michael is currently working as a Back End Engineer at Walla since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked at ZEAL as a Software Engineer II from March 2021 to December 2021. Michael also held positions as a Software Engineer I, Jr Software Engineer, and Full Stack Developer Intern at ZEAL. Michael has experience in developing web applications, implementing bug fixes, and practicing Agile methodologies.

Before joining ZEAL, Michael attended LEARN Academy as a Full Stack Web Development Student, where they focused on Ruby and JavaScript programming languages. Michael completed a 480-hour hands-on coding experience with the Rails and React Frameworks.

Michael also worked as an Excel/VBA Freelancer at Excel/VBA Consulting, where they created Excel/VBA tools and provided support for clients' Excel-related issues and questions.

Furthermore, Michael gained consultancy experience at Scalian, where they worked as a Consultant and was involved in Sales & Operation Planning, Business Analytics, and Forecasting and Replenishment Model development.

Michael's early career includes working at LG Electronics USA Inc. as a Director of Supply Chain Management, Production Planning & Control Manager, and Quality Assurance Sr. Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for demand and capacity planning, production scheduling, supply chain management, logistics, and quality control.

Overall, Michael Ko has a diverse range of work experience in software engineering, web development, Excel/VBA, consultancy, and supply chain management.

Michael Ko holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, which they obtained from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas between 1995 and 2002. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering at Hanyang University from 1985 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, Michael has also obtained several certifications. These include the "Introduction to Redis Data Structures" from Redis Labs in July 2019, the "Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)" from APICS in January 2016, and the "Healthcare Information Technology Certificate" from CSUSM Extended Learning in April 2015.
